Sarajevo, May 23rd, 2026 – The “Ramiz Salčin” Sports Hall in Mojmilo was the epicenter of world-class sitting volleyball today. The jubilee 25th International Sitting Volleyball Tournament for Men “Sarajevo Open 2026”, organized by the highly decorated club OKI “Fantomi” Sarajevo, delivered an exceptionally thrilling group stage filled with spectacular plays and clear title contenders.
Following a full day of action and 12 matches played across Groups A and B, the semifinal matchups are set, promising a spectacular Sunday of volleyball.
Group A: Flawless “Sinovi Bosne” from Lukavac Top the Table
In Group A, SKISO “Sinovi Bosne” Lukavac put on an outstanding performance, finishing the group stage completely undefeated. They opened their day with a hard-fought but well-deserved 2-1 victory over Serbia, and followed it up with commanding 2-0 wins against SDI “Hrabri” Zagreb and the Ukraine national team.
Despite their loss to the Lukavac squad, Ukraine secured the second spot and a ticket to the semifinals thanks to straight-set victories (2-0) over both “Hrabri” and Serbia. A pleasant surprise came from SDI “Hrabri” Zagreb, who outplayed Serbia 2-0 in their direct clash to claim third place in the group.

The tournament hosts and nine-time European champions, OKI “Fantomi” Sarajevo, proved exactly why they are the main favorites to claim their 20th jubilee title at this event. The Fantomi cruised through Group B with three victories. The most exciting clash of the group was against Zenica’s “Čelik ’07”, where the Sarajevo team bounced back after losing the first set, shifting into a higher gear to seal a 2-1 win.
KSO “Čelik ’07” Zenica secured the second spot in the group with dominant 2-0 wins over “Borac” Banja Luka and the Croatia national team. In the battle for third place, Croatia came out on top against IOK “Borac” with a 2-0 victory.
